FarmLink Launches Grower Engagement Breakfast Series

FarmLink recently hosted the first of its new Grower Engagement Breakfasts, bringing local growers together for an informal morning of discussion and networking.

Held over a BBQ breakfast using FarmLink’s new BBQ trailer, the event provided an opportunity for growers to connect directly with FarmLink staff and discuss the issues, opportunities and research priorities shaping their farming businesses.

FarmLink CEO Shaughn Morgan welcomed attendees and outlined FarmLink’s commitment to delivering independent, grower-focused research and extension activities across the region. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining strong connections with members and ensuring FarmLink continues to respond to the needs of local farming communities.

FarmLink Principal Research & Extension Manager Mark Skewes then provided an overview of current and emerging research activities, sharing insights into projects underway and opportunities for grower involvement in future research and extension programs.

The breakfast concluded with an open discussion session, allowing growers to raise topics of interest, share experiences and provide valuable feedback on the challenges and opportunities facing agriculture in the region. Conversations covered a range of issues affecting local farming businesses and reinforced the value of direct engagement between growers and FarmLink.

The Grower Engagement Breakfasts are planned to become a regular feature across the FarmLink footprint, providing an informal forum for members and growers to engage with FarmLink staff, discuss industry issues and help shape future research and extension priorities.

FarmLink thanks all growers who attended the inaugural breakfast and looks forward to continuing these valuable conversations at future events.
