Spraytec Trial
Spraytec Trial
Project Partner: Spraytec Australia
Project Funder: Spraytec Australia
Project Duration: 2026
Project Location: Temora NSW
Trial Objectives:
Early crop development and effective weed control are critical factors influencing final crop performance and yield. Products applied at the seed and early post-emergent stages can play an important role in supporting crop establishment, helping plants tolerate stress, and maintaining competitive growth during key early growth periods. Ensuring that crops establish quickly and recover well from herbicide applications can contribute to more uniform crop development and improved yield potential.
Spraytec develops and supplies agricultural solutions across spray adjuvant technology, crop nutrition, seed treatment and crop health. The range is designed to simplify spray programs, improve application performance and support crop productivity.
Spraytec’s TopSeed is an innovative seed treatment designed to support healthy seedling growth and improve crop establishment. It delivers essential nutrients directly to seeds, while its highpower polymer coating ensures even coverage, compatibility with chemical treatments, and reduced dust-off during sowing.
TOPZinc Max is a multi-nutritional phytostimulant formulated to help mitigate chemical, abiotic and biotic stress. Its broad nutrient package supports crop recovery and development, helping promote yield while complementing weed control programs.
FulltecMax is a multi-functional spray adjuvant designed to condition water, buffer pH, improve spray coverage and uptake, reduce foam, encourage uniform droplet size and optimise overall spray application performance.
This trial aims to evaluate the response of crops treated with:
TopSeed at sowing to support early vigour and establishment;
TOPZinc Max applied with diflufenican based herbicide at early post-emergent timing, to counteract herbicide phytotoxicity;
Fulltec Max applied with diflufenican based herbicide at early post-emergent timing, to counteract herbicide phytotoxicity.
The objective is to observe whether these applications assist in maintaining crop health during herbicide application, support effective weed control, and determine if these responses translate into improvements in crop growth and final yield.
The trial will investigate:
Does TopSeed provide better crop vigour when applied concurrently with other seed treatments as a pre-sowing application?
Do TOPZinc Max and Fulltec Max provide better control of weeds when applied concurrently with herbicide as a post emergent application?
Do TOPZinc Max and Fulltec Max provide equivalent performance to industry standard additives in terms of weed control
Do TopZinc Max and Fulltec Max provide better crop recovery from applications that could potentially cause herbicide phytotoxicity.
Are Spraytec’s TopZinc Max and Fulltec Max safe to be applied to cereals as a foliar additive
