New FarmLink CEO Shaughn Morgan commences work

The Board of Directors for FarmLink Research recently announced that it has appointed Shaughn Morgan as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Morgan commenced his role as CEO on 2nd January 2024, replacing outgoing CEO Andrew Bulkeley. He joins FarmLink with extensive experience in agricultural advocacy organisations having previously served as CEO of NSW Farmers Association and more recently, CEO of dairy organisation Dairy Connect and Co-CEO of its successor body, eastAUSmilk.

In these roles, Mr Morgan worked closely with Research & Development Corporations and Regional Development Programs in fostering growth and new initiatives within agriculture.

The Chairman of FarmLink, Rob McColl, said that “Shaughn has an extensive background in policy development, management and community/government relations, and these skills augment what Andrew has built over the past three years.”

He has also held senior roles at the Law Society of NSW, AGL Energy and Barton Deakin as well as serving on government, corporate and not for profit boards and committees.

“It is a privilege to join the FarmLink team and continue the great work that Andrew has been undertaking during his tenure as CEO,” Shaughn said.

“I look forward to continuing this work and growing the business of FarmLink.”

While Mr Bulkeley intends to pursue other endeavours in agriculture including his mixed farming property in northern NSW, he will assist in the handover to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.

“I am grateful to Andrew for agreeing to remain with the organisation while I settle into the role and obtain a deeper understanding of the research and development programs at FarmLink, as well as the opportunities that lie ahead,” Mr Morgan said.

“I look forward to working with the team at FarmLink and the Board to further the interests of FarmLink within agriculture and elsewhere.”
