Southern Pulse Farm Tour – learn from growers in the paddock
Two upcoming GRDC Southern NSW Farming Systems Project Pulse Farm Tours will give growers the opportunity to see pulse crops in the paddock and hear directly from farmers and agronomists about what is working on-farm.
With a strong focus on grower experiences and practical lessons, the tours will cover pulse agronomy, rotations, soil amelioration, grazing, harvest decisions, marketing and more.
🌱 Southern Pulse Farm Tour – Jerilderie to Urana
Thursday 17 September - 9am
The southern tour travels from Jerilderie to Urana, with stops covering faba bean agronomy, vetch grazing management, soil amelioration and pulse marketing.
Topics include:
Faba bean agronomy and pulse marketing
Vetch – grazing versus brown manure
Soil amelioration
Pulse marketing
Faba harvest logistics
Harvest decision making
The 9th and final year of the Urana Farming Systems site
The tour brings together growers, agronomists and industry representatives from RMS, Delta Ag and Grassroots Agronomy.
