Rob Martin – FarmLink’s new Knowledge Broker – SNSW Innovation Hub

FarmLink’s new Knowledge Broker Rob Martin is a fourth-generation farmer from the Riverina, with more than 30 years’ mixed farming experience. He holds a Masters in Agricultural science from Charles Sturt University and has managed both private and corporate-owned farming operations – small and large – from the Liverpool Ranges to central Victoria.

Prior to starting a family, Rob spent most of his off-farm time on a football or cricket field, or in an aeroplane, so between those connections, and those made on a fireground, he has extensive and deep connections with many rural and regional communities. This, along with his extensive experience in commercial trial work, means he is uniquely positioned to work with the diverse range of stakeholders in the Southern NSW Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub.

Rob is excited by the potential of this new role to bring farmers and researchers together to maximise the productivity and adoption of cutting-edge agricultural research in Southern NSW.
